MPP Michael Chan is pleased to announce that Ontario will invest an additional $14,883,419 in three York Region Hospitals that would provide faster access to health care, expand crucial services and procedures, and improve the experience of patients.

This investment in York Region is part of a 3.1 per cent increase in hospital funding proposed in the 2017 Budget to directly benefit patients at every public hospital across Ontario, and would:
2017/18 Total Base and One-time investments:
Mackenzie Health $ 5,808,404 (3.26% increase)
Southlake Regional Health Centre $ 5,746,684 (2.02% increase)
Markham Stouffville Hospital $ 3,328,331 (2.02% increase)
