Ontario is investing $54,150 in York Region for local agencies who are providing social services to people in our community.
These funds are part of a $3.2-million province-wide investment to improve accessibility, safety and security in community social service agencies. This investment will help agencies upgrade their facilities and serve more people.
In York Region funding is being distributed as follows:
This funding will allow these agencies to keep their facilities in good condition for those who need them, and will help cover the costs of important upgrades and facility improvements.
â€œCommunity agencies provide essential services and must reflect the needs of all those in our community. Thatâ€™s why itâ€™s so important that these agencies are safe, secure and accessible to everyone,â€ said Minister of Community and Social Services, Madeleine Meilleur.
